"Just a quick note to thank you for a lovely stay at the studio cottage – the views were brilliant and the atmosphere perfect for our relaxing getaway." Thanks
Brendan O'Gorman

"Black Cockatoo was everything we hoped for our stay of two nights.  Our cottage was well appointed, private, and had a wonderful view across the farms to the bay on the north side of Wilson's Promontory which provided a strong skyline.  The moonless nights were brilliant with the stars of the southern skies, the Magellanic Clouds being clearly visible alongside the Milky Way which is so much more intense than in the northern hemisphere.

The access to the Prom was a few kilometers down the road which made it easy to access the park at dusk for sighting of kangaroos, a fox, and a mysterious black animal that loped away before we got too close.  During the day it was an easy drive to the various hikes and beaches.  Squeaky Beach didn't squeak but it did provide some wonderful surf to play in and smooth overhanging rocks where we could get out of the sun.  Sandesh, thanks for being such a great host and for the possible explanation of our mystery animal."Denis Connor

"Lovely location just outside national park and perfect house for us - huge too! The kids loved running around outside playing hide and seek and watching the gallahs. Very friendly owners and would love to go back."

"Fantastic view, even better than the pics, helpful staff, ideally located for day trips to Wilsons Prom or Waratah Bay / Sandy Point or nearby towns. Very highly recommend this place. I'll go back for sure."

"We had a great time at the Cottages, thanks very much! They are located in a beautiful spot and it was fanatstic to watch the sun rise in the mornings! Great spot for going to the Prom."

I love the location. Very peaceful. Great view!

Perfect cottage, clean and well equipped. Most fantastic views of Wilsons Prom. Very enjoyable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Black Cockatoo Cottages in Yanakie. Waking in the morning to the sounds of birds and cows at milking time, with the sun rising directly before us over the Prom was a beautiful start to the day. The cottage was well situated to explore neighbouring towns - we particularly enjoyed visiting Fish Creek where the artistic community is so well represented - and stopping at some of the local wineries. And of course, we were on the doorstep of the Prom where we had an enjoyable day walking amongst banksia groves and visiting the southernmost mangrove swamp, as well as climbing a mountain to take in the view. Black Cockatoo Cottages have an unimpeded view of The Prom. It's a peaceful location and well set up for self-catering... as long as you remember to take everything including tea and coffee. We had a thoroughly restful time there and would certainly consider staying there again when we return to this beautiful part of Victoria. THANK YOU!"

"I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone going there. They were very close to the Prom and it was very peaceful. We loved being able to cook our own dinner and just relax in the evening. The flies were awful but that's not their fault - that is mother nature!"

"There is nothing to beat this neat little place. It was so tranquil and soothing to both heart and mind that I was contemplating not leaving at all but work commitments at home recalls the brain to accept reality. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We might return to reminisce our childhood here again. Thank you so much. "
